Earthgrid Sites, a division of the Earthgrid network, is a private software development firm specializing in website design and Internet consulting services.
The goal of Earthgrid Sites is to create a great competitive advantage for all of our customers by providing fast, reliable, eye-catching and scalable solutions within reasonable budgets. The alchemy of our success arises from our visionary product application with a relentless drive for innovation and ease of interface.
Currently based in Palo Alto, CA in the heart of Silicon Valley, Earthgrid was founded in 1997 by Viktor Grant as a social network of virtual communities when he realized the future was in database-backed websites. From that sprouted the subsidiary of Earthgrid Sites to allow for customers to have their own web sites, in addition to being connected to a community of like-minded individuals through link exchanges.
As a consequence of this linked community, Earthgrid Sites now leverages its position as the hub of these closely connected Internet providers to bring to all of our clients the most comprehensive applications for their Internet business solutions.
Viktor Grant, Founder, CTO
Viktor Grant is a recognized expert in the creation and maintenance of virtual communities. He is an Internet architect and entrepreneur responsible for pioneering multiple technology firsts in the computer industry and on the web, including multi-user round table chats, artificial intelligence-based e-commerce systems, viral marketing services, video magazines, real-time credit card content publishing, online bookselling, and copy protection systems. He has twenty+ years of programming and project leadership experience, ten years of which were specifically devoted to developing breakthrough Internet communication strategies. He wrote his first computer program at age 13, and created the world's first disk copy protection software for the Apple II computer.
In 1994, at the dawn of the Internet, Viktor created 21st Century Network, one of the first ten channels in The Microsoft Network, (MSN) where he produced interviews with best-selling authors including Deepak Chopra, Jack Canfield and George Gilder in a series of live interactive online events that involved up to 3,000 members communicating simultaneously in ten languages worldwide.
This early experience with the power of interactive group communication was what inspired Viktor to create Earthgrid.Net, the breakthrough online communications and viral marketing system that he has been developing since 1997. Earthgrid was created based on the principles in the book "Net Gain" to monetize the social network, as well as the systems theories of R. Buckminster Fuller. Earthgrid synthesizes Viktor's background in probability, statistics, brain research, chat rooms, interactive Internet communities, music, graphic design, video production and interactive marketing. Consequentially, since 1998, Viktor also architected and has been developing Live Earth, which integrates an underlying meta-search engine with a built-in affiliate payment system.
As a web consultant, Viktor has created dozens of websites and Internet business applications, including database-backed interactive interfaces, e-commerce shopping sites, multimedia, streaming media, and audio and video production for forward-thinking start-ups and leading Fortune 500 businesses. He is also a regularly performing concert pianist, Kinesiologist and writer.
Viktor holds a BA in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California, San Diego.
